Mathematics
Our Maths is no longer taught in sets but in mixed ability groups. Each lesson consists of a mental starter, a main activity followed by group work and a plenary. We do lots of practical work in Maths to help us practise the skills we learn.
The children use the computer regularly during the Maths lesson. We have the use of the new ICT suite where we can use RM Maths, education city and other fantastic interactive games. During the Summer Term a group of children are chosen to participate in extra ICT time before school starts in the mornings.
Please help your child to tell the time at five minute intervals on both analogue and digital clocks.
Maths homework is given out on Fridays and needs to be back at school by the following Wednesday. A team point will be awarded for homework received on or before the designated day. Children are encouraged to share their homework activities with an adult at home!
